The Ammonite is mesmerizing with a spiral that brings your eye to the center and the heart. That’s the sentiment we carved this solid turquoise ammonite with that was inspired by a fossil ammonite from Oregon. A glittering Oregon Sunstone with schiller rises above the carving to illuminate the flowing repeated curves of this ensemble set in fine silver.

This pendant started as a rough piece of Hubei turquoise that held the form of an ammonite waiting to be revealed. The color is the richest, perfect turquoise blue-green with a few touches of matrix showing in keeping with its all natural origin. The Ammonite was hand carved by Karen Britt inspired by a real fossil ammonite that we found on our travels in Eastern Oregon.
