Travel down a deep gorge towards the Oregon Sunstone setting sun lighting up the canyon walls in sterling silver and copper tones. This brilliant Oregon Sunstone contains copper schiller that glows peachy pink through the otherwise clear champagne gem. Sterling Silver boulders flank the sun at the bottom of the gorge and the earthy texture is continued up the sterling silver and copper canyon walls for the perfect scene to take with you wherever you wander.
This sunset Sunstone is a 5mm brilliant round cut, set ablaze with copper schiller. It’s cradled in a fine silver tube setting and surrounded by sterling silver boulders. Deep texture was engraved into the sterling silver canyon walls that are repeated in copper farther back in the gorge. All of the details in this piece are accentuated by black patina throughout to add depth and contrast. The over all length of this scene, reminiscent of your favorite last adventure or a wanderlust for the future, is about 30mm or a bit over 1 inch. It hangs from your neck from 3mm thick Greek Leather, that is roughly 18 inches, fastened by a hook and loop sterling silver closure. The pendant looks great and is ready to wear on the cord but also would look wonderful hanging from your favorite chain or whatever your preference.
The Sunstone was mined and faceted by Karen Britt (from Spectrum Mines in Eastern Oregon). Karen performed all the fabrication of the piece and the metals are humanely acquired and reclaimed whenever possible.
