Carved Sunstone, Opal, and Peridot Pendant
Splash into the golden sunshine of this magnificent carved Oregon Sunstone with schiller that is accompanied by an Australian Boulder Opal and Peridot. The Sunstone is carved in flowing wave-like curves with surfacing bubbles that echo the shape of the glimmering Peridot below. A dazzling boulder opal provides the color play of water and reflections to complete the dance of this gemmy choreography.
This pendant is ready to slide onto your favorite chain and is left ‘open bailed’ (shown with a chain for demonstration/pendant only). The Oregon Sunstone is pretty big, by sunstone standards. It was mined and hand carved by Karen Britt and measures a whopping 18mm by 15mm (imagine how big it was before the carving started!). The shape and curvaceous lines were inspired by the original shape of the stone and highlight the schiller flashes with the right angles of light. The setting is sterling and fine silver and is open backed so the stone can be appreciated from both sides and the light can play all the way through. The Australian Boulder Opal is all natural and is roughly 10mm x 3mm displaying all the colors in its predominantly dark blue-purple body color. The Peridot is 3mm and is also completely natural in a lovely brilliant facet cut.
