Glowing copper is hammered then carved to hold the Turquoise chips (old stock purchased by Karen at Tucson Gem Show roughly 25 - 30 years ago). These bright chips are surrounded by sand grains from the beach adding subtle color and texture. The whole process is created by hand and the copper is polished to a ‘like liquid’ shine. The copper is not treated and will change into different, interesting tones and can be brought right back to the high shine with a polish cloth or jewelry polish (though it’s not recommended to put this piece in an immersion polisher). The ring is a large size 8 and the height or thickness of the ring gauge is 1.4mm and the width of the ring is about 4mm.

This piece was fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.

We ship ASAP. Most of the time, we can get your package into the mail next day (and up to 3 business days). We use priority USPS and they’ve been consistent in delivery time (usually a day to a week travel time depending on where you are). As aforementioned, you’ll have a tracking number so you can anticipate the arrival.
