Purple is so gorgeous and so hard to get from natural stones in Oregon. Fortunately, this Amethyst and Holly Blue Agate came out to play from ‘Friend Stock’ (stones from friends). From Washington, the Amethyst flows like ombre’ from light to deep purple. The Holly Blue Agate from Oregon looks lavender in inside light and blue-toned in outside light (see pic 1 and 3). To contrast the lovely hues, a 4mm white Angel Wing Plume Agate finishes the composition below with Fine Silver Spheres.
This ensemble hangs from your neck by a 1.2mm Greek Leather Cord and Sterling Silver hook and loop clasp. The Fine Silver Settings for the Amethyst and Holly Blue Agate are left open backed so you can see through the gems. These stones were sourced in Oregon (except where noted otherwise), hand polished, and the setting fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
