Who couldn’t use a little extra protection like these earrings in the shape of warrior shields? Sterling and Fine Silver are blended with Copper in a design of metallic colors within the shield shape. Dark Pearls sit valiantly centered like a powerful statement of strength. They were hammered, fired, ground, and taken to a high polish showing their resilience and victorious finish like the warrior who wears them.
These dangles are roughly 1.4 inches total with the earring body measuring almost exactly one inch. The Dark Pearls are cultured and from old stock purchased at the Tucson Gem Shows around 2.5-3 decades ago. The Pearls are set in Fine Silver while the body of the earring is Fine and Sterling Silver blended with Copper. The earring wires are Sterling Silver. The earrings are fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
