Holley Blue Agate, Plume, and Sunstone

Holley Blue Agate, Plume, and Sunstone

$85.00

This is a dainty truffle sampler of the good stuff in gentle hues of lavender and champagne from Oregon. Holley Blue Agate is rare and found on the West side of the Cascades if you’re lucky. This stone was found by friends and paired with an equally rare and unusual Marcasite Plume Agate from Eastern Oregon that boasts little glitter fields through the upper portion of the lavender/blue triangle. The 4mm hand polished Sunstone from Southern Oregon is the cherry on the Sunday having its own schiller light. The whole thing is set in an asymmetrical sculpted Fine Silver setting for contemporary flare.

The Marcasite Plume Agate and Holley Blue Agate are left open backed in their Fine Silver settings to let the light shine through. The bail loops are Sterling Silver as well as the hook and loop closure on the 1.5mm Greek leather cord that is roughly 18”. These stones were sourced in Oregon, hand polished, and the setting fabricated from scratch by Karen Britt. Each piece is a one of a kind piece of art, because no two stones are the same and the settings are created by hand, no two pieces are the same (even the earrings). It should be mentioned that all stones are used in their natural state; never dyed or heated to change their appearance. All the metals used are either recycled or fair, humane trade verified and all components used in the jewelry will return to the earth leaving no footprint. Thank you for enjoying the art.
